DUCKPIN BOWLING AT HOLLOW PINES

At Hollow Pines, our four Duckpin Bowling lanes offer a more relaxed, social take on traditional bowling with shorter lanes, a quicker pace, one-size ball (no holes) for everyone, and smaller pins that keep the game moving and the energy high.

The name “Duckpin” is said to come from the way the pins resembled a row of decoys carried by a duck hunter. When struck, they scatter in every direction, not unlike ducks taking flight. The game is believed to have originated in a Baltimore bar owned by early professional baseball players, making it a pastime rooted in American recreation and gathering.

At Hollow Pines, it felt like a natural fit. A nod to the Pine Barrens, its sporting heritage, and the long tradition of duck hunting woven into this region’s history.

Use of the lanes is first-come, first-served (reservations coming soon), and a manager is always on hand to help guide the flow so everyone gets a chance to play.

Pull up a chair, roll a ball, and stay awhile.
